Sustainability

Region X is dedicated to sustainable tourism, delivering high-quality, transformative nature-based experiences that inspire and educate guests.

Region X recognizes the Yuin People as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we operate. We are committed to ongoing collaboration with local First Nations peoples, acknowledging their invaluable role in shaping sustainable and culturally enriching tourism experiences in the Eurobodalla. Through these partnerships, we actively integrate authentic cultural storytelling, ensuring the preservation and respectful sharing of Indigenous heritage while protecting sacred sites..

At Region X, we actively contribute to environmental conservation and responsible tourism by:

  • Supporting field science programs, including seabird breeding and environmental monitoring.
  • Organizing Marine Debris Collection social kayaking events.
  • Implementing comprehensive waste management practices, ensuring all cardboard, cans, plastics, and bottles are recycled
  • The business commits to not selling merchandise derived from rare and threatened species and advise customers to not purchase these items from other sources.

Our Ecotourism Certification from Ecotourism Australia reflects our commitment to protecting the environment while delivering exceptional, sustainable nature-based experiences.
