This is a ‘Discovery’ program for novice adult kayakers, first timers and excited beginners
Experience Overview
Location: Batemans Bay Area – TBC upon booking
Duration 1 x 4hr session

- Obtain a good kayak fit and work through mobility issues
- Learn to read basic weather and water conditions
- Explore key paddle strokes
- Practise easy entering, landing and exit sit on top techniques

Enrol and embark on an exciting adventure enjoying beautiful scenery, developing skills. This session will help you develop the confidence and skills to join our social paddling group.

Our team will advise via email a few days prior, where to meet as the destination will be weather and tide dependant.
On these paddles you are welcome to bring your own kayak and equipment, if so – on the payment screen please use the code OWNGEAR and this will give you $30 off for each paddle. We also have a range of kayaks, PFD’s and Paddle equipment for sale in our store if you would like to purchase, please let us know.
If supplying your own kayak please also bring the following:
PFD, Signalling devices Whistle / Mirror, Paddle,
Recommended: Paddle Lanyard, drink bottle, phone dry bag, dry bag
Minimum of 3 paddlers required for lesson to be confirmed.
WHAT TO BRING
- Clothes you’re happy to get damp (activewear is great!)
- A wetsuit is recommended for session 2 rescue days
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses)
- A warm layer and a beanie in colder months
- Water shoes, or old sneakers
- A bottle of water
- A towel for after
