These hikes are extremely rewarding, the views from the cliff tops and rock platforms are amazing, the intricate, quiet beaches and coves and the ancient geological features in the area make a day hike a truly rich experience.

Itinerary (use these times as a rough guide)

7am

Hotel Pickups commence at 7am, in Canberra, please be ready at your designated Hotel waiting area. (Optional* Incurs extra fee)

900am

Hotel Pickups commence in Batemans Bay.

930am

Group meeting point in Batemans Bay

Travelling north from Batemans Bay in comfortable air conditioned transport you will reach the Murramarang National Park. Hikers are given the options of which section to see for the day in consultation with our admin and guide team.

While the park has various sections to visit, each section is surprisingly different.

Whichever section you choose, enjoy the possibility of:

Cliff Tops
Long Beaches
Lake Crossings
Rock Platforms
Rainforest trails

The Day hikes include morning tea and lunch along the way and usually wind up with a supported vehicle pickup some time in the mid afternoon.

Group collection by vehicle at hike finish point.

4pm

Return to Batemans Bay

6pm

Return to Canberra Hotel (Optional)

What to Bring – Sturdy walking shoes, hat, comfortable clothing, drinking water, suncream, light top or splash jacket, small day pack

Inclusions – Guides, Hotel pickups from Canberra (7am) or Batemans Bay (starting at 9am) comfortable transport, morning tea, guided hike, lunch, return to Hotel.

Please note: this tour ordinarily requires a minimum of 4 participants to run. If you wish to book with less than 4 people, please contact Region X to discuss a your options. These may include a private tour, or joining another trip or activity.

While none of the trails in the park are long and steep – Region X does not recommend anyone with knee, ankle, heart or lung conditions to attempt these hikes.
