In early Feb 2023, weather pending, a couple of the Region X team are supporting the first ever women group to cross Bass Straight, rowing a surf boat!! Affectionately known as the “Musselrowers” the team will leave Wilsons prom and take on the 390KM journey across one of the most amazing stretches of water in the world. A stretch that separates mainland Australia from Tasmania.

Yeah crazy I know, and its not for everyone, so why do it?

We have been given this opportunity (as what I would call part of a group of lucky people), to fundraise for a cause, the cause we have chosen is the Red Nose appeal, SIDS. Every year people across the world still lose their battle to various terrible diseases that currently do not have a cure or a vaccine. Why SIDS people ask? and Why Bass Straight – I feel it does not really matter what we are raising money for, its the fact that we have all said yes, yes to helping out, yes to volunteering to plan and fundraise for a cause to help everyday ordinary people right across Australia and the world!
